Special postcards of 2010
INTERNATIONAL STAMP FAIR, ESSEN
Magyar Posta is issuing a special postcard in honour of the Essen International Stamp Fair held between 6-8 May 2010.
KERCASZOMOR, THE BRAVEST COMMUNITY- COMMUNITAS FORTISSIMA
Magyar Posta celebrates Kercaszomor, the Bravest Community, by
issuing a special postcard. The Hungarian Parliament passed a law
awarding the title of Communitas Fortissima to the settlement lying in
the historical area of Őrség as a permanent reminder of when its
residents ninety years ago took up arms on 1 August 1920 against the
illegally occupying Yugoslavian forces.
KÜNGÖS
Magyar Posta, in unison with government endeavours, gives high
priority to programmes promoting rural and village development. One of
our important objectives is to gradually reopen small post offices that
have been closed in villages, if possible, where the local community
require this. A commemorative postcard is being released to mark the
opening of the post office in Küngös, the first of the previously closed
village post offices to reopen.
