The Austrian composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791) was a leading figure in Viennese classicism and is one of the greatest musicians in European classical music. He is among the best known composers, whose works are played to the present day. The stamp design of the postcard shows a silhouette of the composer. The main motif of the picture side of the postcard is a portrait of W. A. Mozart. In the background there is a montage of objects connected with his art – a harpsichord, vio-lin, score – as well as the statue of Mozart in Vienna. The commemorative postmark uses a stylised portrait in the form of a drawing.
