The complete series contains a total of 12 stamps, which will be issued on 6 occasions each with 2 denominations. The special feature of the issue is that the stamps can be bought as part of a six-part board game. The six playing sheets make up a fun game for children to playfully learn about stamp collecting as the name itself, PHILAVILLAGE, refers to philately. Intended dates of issue are 20 June for part 2; 4 July for part 3; and the autumn for parts 4-6.

The stamps show the busy lives of the inhabitants of PHILAVILLAGE. On the first two denominations the children can meet the PHILAVILLAGE hairdresser and baker. The first day cover for the series introduces the friendly villagers, while the main motif of the postmark is a stylized bear’s head.
