Magyar Posta traditionally offers the option of special Christmas postmarks in the weeks of Advent for people sending greetings at Christmas and the New Year.
BICENTENARY OF THE LUDOVIKA ACADEMY
Magyar Posta is marking the 200th anniversary of the codification of the establishment of the Ludovika Academy by issuing a special stamp.
CENTENARY OF THE BIRTH OF EDE TELLER
Magyar Posta commemorates the centenary of the birth of the physician of Hungarian origin Ede Teller (Budapest, 15 Jan 1908 – Stanford, California, 9 Sept 2003) by issuing a stamp.

CENTENARY OF THE BIRTH OF GYÖRGY KONECSNI
Magyar Posta’s stamps Arts 2008 and Christmas 2008 mark the centenary of the birth of the painter, graphic artist and stamp designer György Konecsni (1908-70).
OLYMPIC HISTORY – HELSINKI 1952
On 13 November 2006 the shared intention of the Hungarian Olympic Committee and Magyar Posta to celebrate the medal-winners of the summer Olympics held fifty years beforehand became reality through the issue of a stamp block, which at the same time fulfilled the hopes of collectors.

The stamp sheet Your Own Hello Stamp with no value indication will be released in promotional and personalised versions on 9 October 2008.

Magyar Posta is starting the issue of a series of special stamps presenting synagogues in Hungary.
81th STAMP DAY
In keeping with its traditions, Magyar Posta is issuing a stamp block with a surcharge as well as a two-denomination set to mark the 81st Stamp Day.

GREAT HUNGARIANS – MIKLÓS ZRÍNYI BORN 500 YEARS AGO
Miklós Zrínyi (c. 1508-1566.) – In 1566 the one hundred thousand strong army of Suleyman the Magnificent laid siege to the fortress in Szigetvár defended by 2,500 men led by Miklós Zrínyi.
